Today, we started shooting for our video montage. We are shooting mostly on campus and surrounding areas. The story line behind our montage is the use of databases and the thought that many things we do in life, are tracked and kept on file when we don't even realize it. We talked about databases and its types and characteristics a few weeks ago in class, and it gave us a good idea as to how effective they are and at the same time, how our privacy may be invaded in them. That is were we got the idea for our montage. It holds the idea that when we use our WATCARDs on campus, information is being stored, brought up, inputed and looked at by different people, in all different places. The idea is not only with WATCARDS, but our montage is using the WATCARD example, and how we use it for almost everything on campus. The final project will show a series of clips of swiping the card and doing different tasks around campus, and at the same time, showing how a mystery student's privacy is being invaded. Throughout the entire video, there is an absence of any humans. A few more shots, and then the editing will start.
